Euromonitor International attended the 2019 National Restaurant Association Show to observe new trends in the alcoholic and soft drinks industries. Health and wellness is a huge trend in alcoholic drinks this year, with nutrition information being prominently displayed on many packages. Low-alcohol beverages were also on display at this year's show, catering to consumers that are looking to mindfully indulge. In soft drinks, the show featured products that blurred lines between function and energy. Energy shots meant to function as a pre-workout boost and energy drinks with more natural ingredients were some of the products being displayed.
